Digital Operations Coordinator

Position Overview: 

The Digital Operations Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing all advertising and strategic sales solutions that help achieve our partner goals across digital, mobile and print platforms. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):

  • Execute day to day production tasks (e.g. media plan creation, campaign set up, launch, tracking and optimization) for display and social ad placements 
  • Build, manage and optimize digital campaigns to increase performance on major biddable platforms (e.g. GAM, Facebook, LinkedIn); identify trends in data to drive optimization strategies. 
  • Build and manage new inventory management platform used by sales and marketing teams. Inventory should align directly with on-going analytics and site structure. 
  • Advise and consult with Ad Sales regarding advertising inventory, availability forecasting and campaign performance. Optimize our current sales forecasting system for accuracy and efficiency. 
  • Manage the campaign calendar, traffic all advertising assets, produce screenshot decks, maintain all relevant pre/post launch processes, including billing 
  • Monitor performance metrics and compile reports and identify insights (e.g. client and internal monthly reporting, wrap reports, case studies).  
  • Ensure quality control of client-facing media plans, reports, invoicing. 
  • Assist with QA testing for launch of new digital products. 
  • Work with Finance team on managing invoicing for media actuals 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and 3rd party partners to execute campaigns 

Supervision Received: This role reports directly to Associate Vice President, Integrated Marketing and Brand for MIT Technology Review

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital advertising operations is required. 
  • Working knowledge of publishing within a content management platform. 
  • Experience with Ad trafficking software - Doubleclick DART for Publishers (DFP) preferred. 
  • Strong understanding of the latest digital and/or e-marketing tools preferred. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • Strong time management and reporting abilities. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field.
